Not a great reef. I saw a small wrasse and a huge purple clam and a couple of great coral formations. An easy fin back to boat took us past Wally the Maori wrasse.

I did this reef while doing my SSI open water licence. It was an easy dive and good for a beginner. Plenty of coral and small fish.
Ben Murphy, SSI Open Water Diver
I found this reef quite photogenic and yes it's mainly given over to trainees but hey, you don't need to go deep to get good photos! Series of small bommies off the reef to one side, and on this occasion we circled around them followed by a reef shark, which just stayed out of our vision. Needless to say we only discovered the fact back on the boat, when the videographer managed to capture us and the shark!
In a large enclave there are a pile of huge giant clams and several wrasse species alongside the usual reef denizens. Our dive here was on a bumpy day out with Tusa Dive, great boat. The Japanese and a few American divers decided to feed the fish as the boat bounced at its moorings in driving (albeit warm) rain - it was best to get in the water asap, cos we were also feeling green!
