Dive Site: Lighthouse

Location: Cap D'Artutx, Menorca

Description: Reef with cave and swim-throughs

Depth: 3 - 17 metres (9 - 55 feet)

Visibility: 30 metres (100 feet)

Basically a shore dive around the Lighthouse area at Cap D'Artutx near Cal NBosch. The entry is easy but it can be tough getting out if there's a swell. Not for divers who don't like putting a bit of effort into their diving. A five minute drive from Bluewater Scuba.

The dive starts with a rocky sea bed then descends into a sandy gulley with seagrass on each side. Very typical of Menorcan Diving. Plenty of swim throughs and a cave which, although not big, is definitely worth a look. A tight swimthrough on the way back can be bypassed if it's not your cup of tea. Go with a guide as there can be current on the corner. Lots of fish life including jellies, sea bream and possible barracuda.
