Dive Site: Hangover Hole
Location: Bermuda
Description: Reef
Depth: 5 - 15 metres (15 - 50 feet)
Visibility: 15 - 20 metres (50 - 65 feet)
Rating: ****
Hangover Hole is named due to the large number of overhangs and holes which pepper the reef structure. The site is literally a maze of tunnels, arches, overhangs and swim-throughs, which make for a great fun dive within the reef rather than around it. Torches are not necessarily required for the majority of tunnels as sunlight penetrates into many areas through cracks in the reef. Marine life within the tunnels can include lobsters, eels and groupers as well as smaller species including nubibranchs. If diving with a group avoid resting or finning up the seabed as visibility can easily become non-existent for divers following.
