The Minnie Breslauer was built in 1872. On her maiden voyage between Portugal and New York, loaded with a cargo of wine, dried fruit, bales of cork and 160 pound lead ingots, she collided with a submerged reef whilst approaching Bermuda. While attempting to back the ship off of the reef she sank. The wreck now lies across the reef approximately one mile offshore to the south of Bermuda in depths of 11-25m. The dive can explore the main body of the wreck, with some swim-through areas providing shelter to a variety of fish and lobsters. The anchor can be found embedded into the reef adorned with corals by following the wreck along the line of the reef. Additionally close to the wreck is a circular reef dissected with a small series of tunnels which can be explored.
