Location: Arinaga, Gran Canaria

Description: Shore Dive

Depth: 10 - 16 metres (33 - 52 feet)

Visibility: 15 - 25 metres (50 - 80 feet)

We thought that this dive may be a bit barren but the bay was teeming with life! We had not expected so much variety in a shallow dive, and as it was easy we had lots of time to relax and watch individual species. Highlight was finding an angel shark asleep in the sand in just 4m! There were several octopus and cuttlefish, and hundreds of damselfish and bream.

This dive site is absolutly amazing, there is loads of life. If you are good on your air take a sharp left after leaving the pot and continue along till you reach the big sea fans. Depth is 31 mtrs, it's a long swim so only experienced divers whose air consumption is very good should do this dive.
