Dive Site: Punta Blanca

Location: Tenerife

Description: Horseshoe shaped crevice in the rock

Depth: 23 - 26 metres (76 - 85 feet)

Visibility: 20 metres (65 feet)

We dropped in from sitting position and held onto the rib as the current was quite strong on the surface and apparently it can also be quite strong in the crevice. On this occasion it wasn't however, so we pulled ourselves down the anchor and across the main rock slab at 12 metres and as we got into the crevice all the current disappeared. Inside there were overhangs and little piles of rocks with a sandy bottom with what looked like red snapper, trumpet fish, moray eels and others. It was a real oasis out of the current.
