Dive Site: Diver's Dream
Location: Columbus Passage, Tobago
Description: Drift dive
Depth: 6 - 20 metres (20 - 65 feet)
Visibility: 7 metres (23 feet)
Rating: ***
To do this site justice we dived it at the wrong time in October after heavy rain with very strong currents, so strong it was hard to get down to the reef. We only managed to stay down about 20 minutes because we were fighting the current a lot of the time, and we were with some quite inexperienced divers who were fearful of the strength of the current. We drifted very fast across coral that was almost like heather in texture. We did not see many fish because the visibility was so poor but we did find a friendly turtle in a channel. Quite an exhilarating dive, but probably much better at a different time of year!

We dived here in November 2007 and it was my worst dive of my life. It was raining, a lot of current, but no problem there. When we stopped diving we stayed in the water for more then 2 hours because the boat lost us. Have you seen Open Water? Thank you Marlon for finding us, thank you from Italy.
