Scuba Diving Cocos Island, Costa Rica
Dive Site: Lobster Rock
Location: Cocos Island, Costa Rica
Description: Reef dive
Depth: 10 - 30 metres (30 - 100 feet)
Visibility: 15 metres (50 feet)
Rating: ****
Lobster Rock is an area of rocky reef surrounded by sand. It is a fairly shallow dive so is likely to be the third of the day, although it is still possible to get some depth. There have been sightings of tiger sharks here, but we were not graced with the presence of any on our dive - at least not in our knowledge! There is also a large moray that lives on the corner, but again it must have been out. We did see a number of turtles however, a manta, marble rays, white tips and loads of snapper. A yellow fin tuna also briefly made an appearance.
