Dive Site: Viking Rock

Location: Cocos Island, Costa Rica

Description: Reef dive

Depth: 20 - 30 metres (65 - 100 feet)

Visibility: 20 metres (65 feet)

Rating: *****

Viking Rock is a submerged reef where there is the potential to see a number of different shark and ray species. We only dived here the once during our trip and on that particular dive we saw a Galapagos shark and lots of white tips and marble rays in the overhangs and ledges on the reef. There are also plenty of lobsters, morays and reef fish such as pufferfish.
