This is probably Hawaii's most famous dive. When I dived here there was a bit of a surface swell to overcome, but once I began the descent down the shot line into the blue, it became a fantastic dive. The wreck sank in 1986 and lies upright in the water, and is now encrusted in coral. It is small, but has some potential places to penetrate, and some holes to poke around in. There are three decks and a pilot house. Marine life includes puffer fish, speckled and blue head butterfly fish, and towards the end of the dive I saw an eagle ray.

There was some significant current running when we dived this site and a lot of suspended crud in the water - the visibility was not good at all. Lots of fish about including a prowling eagle ray however. The dive guides nanny you far too much and any form of penetration was a strict no no. Worst of all the second dive is commenced within 30 minutes of leaving the water on the first in water so shallow you are in danger of poking your head out if you stand up... no, Hawaian (American!!!) diving is not an experience we particularly want to repeat!
