Scuba Diving in Bali, Indonesia
Reader Reviews:
Dive Site: Amed Reef
Location: Outside Jumeluk Bay, Bali, Indonesia
Description: Reef
Depth: 12 - 30 metres (40 - 100 feet)
Visibility: 15 - 30 metres (50 - 100 feet)
Rating: ****
Located at the left side of the bay Amed Reef will take approximately 10 minutes to reach by Jukung (traditional fishing boat with a maximum capacity if 3 divers). You will find many different kinds of sponges and gorgonians, and marine life includes everything from gobies and shrimp, to schools of barracuda and blue spotted rays. Many different kinds of reef fish such as parrotfish, angelfish, surgeonfish, and moray eels are also found. If you go little bit deeper to 30 metres you will see some sleeping white tip sharks on the sandy bottom. Should there be any current, which is usually very rare and flows to the south, this will make for a relaxing drift dive.
