Scuba Diving in Baltimore, County Cork, Ireland, Europe
Dive Site: Stag Rocks
Location: Near Toe Head, County Cork, Ireland, Europe
Description: Reef
Depth: 6 - 13 metres (20 - 43 feet)
Visibility: 5 metres (15 feet)
Rating: ***
We dived here hoping to see seals under the water as there is a colony that live on the Stags. There are also the remains of some wrecks around these rocks but we dived in the centre where we were most likely to find seals. Unfortunately we didn't come across any despite begin told they would be guaranteed, although other dives in our party saw brief glimpses of them. The kelp forest and the rocky swim-throughs covered in jewel anemones still made a pretty dive. There were also a number of wrasse around and a lot of starfish.
