Our last dive on this trip to Malaysia, we again elected a dusk dive in the shallow reef located off the main jetty on Mabul Island. Paradise 2 joins the 10m deep reef walls of dive sites Paradise 1 and Mandarin. On this dive we saw several cuttlefish of varying types. The most interesting was a large common cuttlefish (around 2 feet in length), which showed very little fear and stayed still, allowing for some excellent photo opportunities. As we drifted with the slight current we saw pipefish, morays and this lovely juvenile porcupine fish (see attached photograph here on dive site directory).
