Dive Site: Muthafushi Tila

Location: Coco Palm Resort, Baa Atoll, Maldives

Description: Round tila shaped like a wedding cake

Depth: 7 - 25 metres (23 - 82 feet)

Visibility: 20 metres (65 feet)

This little round tila is shaped like a wedding cake with layers, so that you can go round it starting at 20 metres and gradually work your way up. It is a beautiful dive because the coral is so bright - it's red, yellow and orange and it is everywhere. Also there are loads of fish darting about in shoals above your head.

We went on this dive 3 times because it is so colourful and there were so many fish. We saw lots of morays, anemonefish, glassfish, bannerfish, a big octopus, fusiliers, and trevallies. It was great to watch the trevallies chasing the fish. The first time we went we also saw a black tipped reef shark and a turtle and when we surfaced a school of dolphins joined us, although the dive team assured us this was a first.
