Dive Site: House Reef
Location: Kuredu, Lhaviyani Atoll, Maldives
Description: Shore dive, reef

Visibility: 10 - 15 metres (30 - 50 feet)

Located on the south of the island, this dive site is a stone's throw from the dive centre. Tanks will be filled and waiting for you at the entry point and you walk to the jetty, kitted up with the rest of you equipment. Entry is a jump in from the jetty and surface swim to the marker buoys. The site is a series of reefs and a small 'wreck'. There is plenty of life including stingrays, morays, octopus, turtles and plenty of fish.

What more can you really ask for? A fabulous holiday island, a short stroll along the jetty to pick up your tank! When finished, just take the tank off and leave it there before your short stroll back for a "deco beer", where you can discuss: the triggerfish, huge napoleon wrasse, stingrays, the turtle, sweetlips, parrotfish etc, etc ... this really is diving decadence!

This was a wonderful, stress free dive and snorkel site. Batfish galore, eagle rays in abundance but difficult to photograph. Sea turtles everywhere. I was lucky to spend a week on this island. I had a close encounter (very close) with common grey stingray. I long to return.

It’s a amazing place to dive and you see a lot of sea life, the wreck is a good site to see the fantastic animals under the water and I learnt to dive here.
