Scuba Diving in the Maldives
Reader Reviews:
Dive Site: Broken Rock
Location: Dhigurashu Channel, South Ari Atoll, Maldives
Description: Reef dive from a boat
Depth: 12 - 30 metres (40 - 100 feet)
Visibility: 15 - 25 metres (50 - 80 feet)
Rating: *****
This site is literally a broken rock. The thila is split in two and it is possible to swim carefully along the canyon. The walls are covered with lots of soft coral in pastel blues, greens and yellows. We dived this twice and both times it had an abundance of fish. There was more current the second time and we held onto the top of the reef and watched a huge amount of anthias, triggerfish and jacks circle in the blue. There are loads of angel and butterflyfish, pufferfish and morays and also a large Napoleon wrasse. One moray was very insistent that I didn't hang on to his rock!
