Dive Site: Maafushi

Location: South Male Atoll

Description: Reef / drift

Depth: 31 metres (102 feet)

Visibility: 15 metres (50 feet)

The visibility was down a bit on this dive, but there was a good current running. As you drop in on the outside of the reef there is a wide sandy plateau below you. The current races over it, carrying you with it as though you are travelling along a sandy runway. I drifted past a big turtle before surfacing to wait for the boat.
