Dive Site: Middle Reef

Location: South Male Atoll

Description: Reef / drift

Depth: 32 metres (105 feet)

Visibility: 15 metres (50 feet)

Rating: ****

The current at Middle Reef was rather strange, with some up/down motions going on. At the beginning of the dive I saw a white-tip shark, followed by a big, grey reef shark. Later I hung in the water with another big white-tip for a while, before heading round the corner to the reef outcrops. To finish the dive there were some really big trevallys hunting in packs.
