Location: Near Uman, Chuuk Lagoon

Description: 7,620 ton passenger / cargo ship

Length: 136 metres (450 feet)

Depth: Max depth 61 metres (200 feet), 37 metres (120 feet) to deck, 31 metres (100 feet) to top of wreck

Visibility: 20 metres (65 feet)

Start this dive by dropping onto the bridge which gives you a great look at the wreck as you descend. The Amagisan Maru is a huge ship with a 45 degree list to port. I went into hold 2 which was full of barrels of caustic material. As you head through hold number 1 you hit 50 metres. There was a turtle on the bow and some lovely corals.
