Location: Near Tonoas, Chuuk Lagoon

Description: 8,691 ton tanker

Length: 148 metres (475 feet)

Depth: Max depth 36 metres (118 feet), 3 metres (10 feet) to top of wreck

Visibility: 20 metres (65 feet)

The Hoyo Maru is totally upside down & broken across the middle. I entered the wreck from torpedo hole, port aft and swam through engine room and wreck interior through the bow and out to the keel. There are lots of portholes all open on the port side. The wreck is covered in masses of good hard coral growth.
