Scuba Diving in Marsa Alam, the Red Sea
Reader Reviews:
Dive Site: Malahi
Location: Fury Shoals, Marsa Alam
Description: Reef with small wreck
Depth: 22 metres (72 feet)
Visibility: 30 metres (100 feet)
Rating: ****
We were dropped by zodiac to the back of the reef. A very small current drifted us around some ergs and we then found our way into the first amphitheatre system through a swimthrough tunnel. It was very picturesque with many soft corals and well as large hard corals. We allowed ourselves to get lost and followed whatever direction intrigued us the most.
Here the presence of other divers ruined the setting as they bombarded past us wearing shocking swimming costume-style wetsuits. I was momentarily angered by this as they took little care and pushed past me in a swimthrough. However I looked back to the reef to see a moray swim past and a group of one spot snappers.
