Dive Site: Orabi
Location: St John's Reef
Description: Shallow reef
Depth: 17 metres + (56 feet)
Visibility: 30 metres (100 feet)
Rating: ***
This was a nice relaxing last dive at St John's. We explored small habilis first and then went back to the main reef. There was a huge anemone covered with anemone fish and lots of goatfish. At the end of the dive we found a star pufferfish under an overhang. We also watched a group of blue fin trevally hunting on fusiliers. It was fascinating to watch as the trevally look calm then, suddenly and unexpectedly, they fleet so fast, furiously and streamlined so that you can almost hear the carnage. Often you find yourself right in the middle making it even more exhilarating to watch.
