Dive Site: The Pinnacles & Ruvula Reefs

Location: Outside Mtwara Bay, Tanzania

Description: Reef

Depth: 5 - 30 metres (15 - 100 feet)

Visibility: 5 - 20 metres (15 - 65 feet)

Five pinnacles covered in pristine coral and lots of fish, also beach entry reefs. Whilst on the subject of beach entries, the magnificent main beach at Ruvula is locally notorious for bad undertows in certain conditions, it is a very bad idea to swim there on your own. A couple of people get swept away and drown every year.
