Pemba Scuba Diving

Dive Site: Omapanja

Location: Pemba, Tanzania

Description: Reef

Depth: 18 metres (59 feet)

Visibility: 10 metres (30 feet)

The reef at Omapanja begins at 3m the gently slopes to a sandy plateau at 20m before dropping away again to a depth of 40m. We stayed shallower on this one as two people we were diving with were flying the next day. There was a lot of macro life to see on the reef such as nudibranchs, flatworms and a lot of reef fish. There were two trevally out in the blue for a bit too. With no current this made a nice relaxing dive with a lot to look at.
