Dive Site: Fairy Cove

Location: Paignton, Devon

Description: Reef

Depth: 10 metres (30 feet)

Visibility: 1 - 5 metres (3 - 15 feet)

This dive was done in May so the algae bloom was in full swing, making the vis poor although at least the water was warmer. It is a dive around the headland through kelp and round rocks. Marine life spotted included conger eel, wrasse, fan worms, flatfish and the usual south coast life. On return along the sandy bed we played with the scallops, and a few accidentally made it home with us!
